Too Many Photos of the 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 Superbike

In case you missed our “Gone Riding” preview of the 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 S, we are in Spain right now getting ready to swing a leg over Italy’s newest superbike (we ride on Thursday).

To help us gear-up for the event, and prime our tackling of the Circuito de Jerez with over 200hp of fury, I thought it best to upload these high-resolution photos of the machine (our original post on the bike was a little lacking in this regard too).

An update to an already potent machine, the 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 S boasts more power, but more importantly, more features to help the rider use all of that power.

As such, the European-spec of the Panigale V4 S makes a solid 213 hp at full boil, whereas the machines that will come into the USA will make a 207 hp peak horsepower figure.

The torque curves between the two machines is rather different as well, with the Euro bike making 91.2 lbs•ft at 9,500 rpm, whereas the US bike makes 90.6 lbs•ft at 11,000 rpm.

But perhaps the more important changes are to the bike’s ergonomics, which includes a refined electronics package. Also, a great deal of attention has been given to the rider cockpit, and how one touches and rides the machine.

The tank and seat have been reworked to give better grip and feedback, especially on braking, and the dash is designed to make the electronic setup more intuitive and easier to read at speed.

Aerodynamics on the Ducati Panigale V4 have also been massaged for the 2022 model year, with a new winglet design that produces the same downforce as before (30kg at 270 km/h), but with less drag.

We can also see Ducati playing with wind channeling with its bellypan design, which pulls more air through the radiator, and exits it out the sides and bottom of the lower fairing.

Does this all make for a better superbike? We shall find out soon enough. Until then, ogle these high-resolution photos for a bit, and try to keep the drooling to a minimum.
