Honda NC750X DCT Models Recalled for Software Update

Owners of the 2021 Honda NC750X equipped with the dual-clutch transmission (DCT) should take note of the NHTSA’s latest recall program.

According to recall documents, the fuel injection control module software on the NC750X may be programmed incorrectly, which can result in insufficient fuel when stopping, or accelerating from a stop.

As a result, the motorcycle might stall in those situations, which can create a safety concern, hence the recall. This bulletin affects 357 units from American Honda.

Honda first discovered the issue on a fleet vehicle in February 2021, in Japan, but later had reports in the European and American markets, which included some injuries.

To remedy the situation, Honda dealers will reprogram the fuel injection and dual clutch transmission software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 7, 2022.

Concerned Honda NC750X DCT owners may contact Honda Powersports customer service at 866-784-1870. Honda’s number for this recall is KN0. As always, the NHTSA is also available at 1-888-327-4236 and safercar.gov
