Honda has released details of four more ATVs that will be returning to its 2022 lineup. Previously, we announced the new 2022 Honda FourTrax Rincon in our 2022 Buyer’s Guide, but Honda hasn’t announced its full lineup just yet. There’s no new full-size sport quad from Honda (and likely won’t be), but all hope isn’t lost just yet. Here are the returning models that we know about so far.
2022 Honda FourTrax Foreman Rubicon
Fully independent front and rear suspension highlight this model, with 7.3 inches of front suspension travel and 8.5 inches of rear suspension travel. There are 25-inch all-terrain tires and disc brakes at all four corners. The Foreman Rubicon has 9.4 inches of ground clearance front and rear, and 286 pounds of front and rear cargo rack capacity. Honda says it will tow up to 1,322 pounds. The 518cc longitudinally mounted engine uses a five-speed automatic transmission to get power directly to front and rear drive shafts. The rider can select between TraxLok 2WD and 4WD operation with a locking front differential. Honda is offering four trim levels of the FourTrax Foreman Rubicon, including three with Honda’s advanced automatic Dual Clutch Transmission.
FourTrax Foreman Rubicon EPS—This model comes with an auto-clutch manual transmission and electric power steering (EPS). Available in Matte Forged Bronze, Red, or Honda Phantom Camo. MSRP: $9,399.

2022 Honda FourTrax Foreman 4×4
The Foreman 4×4 returns with Honda’s 518cc longitudinally mounted single-cylinder EFI four-stroke. A direct-drive, auto-clutch, five-speed transmission with reverse gets power to the drive shafts with Honda’s TraxLok system, and it has a front differential lock. An independent wishbone front suspension and swingarm rear suspension provide 7.3 inches of travel all around. It comes with 25-inch tires, 7.5 inches of ground clearance, and 264 pounds of combined cargo rack capacity. All Honda Foreman ATVs come with electric start and a backup recoil starter. Three trim levels are offered for this model.
FourTrax Foreman 4×4—The base model Foreman 4×4 includes a fuel-injected engine, swingarm rear suspension, and TraxLok 2WD/4WD. A direct-drive five-speed transmission and auto-clutch are standard. Available in Red, Olive, or Honda Phantom Camo. MSRP: $7,499.
FourTrax Foreman 4×4 EPS—This model is a step up from the base model by including electric power steering. Available in Red, Olive, or Honda Phantom Camo. MSRP: $8,199.
FourTrax Foreman 4×4 ES EPS—“ES” stands for Electric Shift, which can be completed by pushing the up or down shift buttons mounted on the handlebars. This model also includes electric power steering. Available in Red, Harvest Beige, or Honda Phantom Camo. MSRP $8,499.
2022 Honda FourTrax Rancher
Eight different trim levels complete the FourTrax Rancher fleet. They all come with Honda’s proven 420cc liquid-cooled EFI longitudinally mounted single-cylinder engine. “Longitudinally mounted” refers to the crankshaft front to back orientation. The entire layout avoids right angles, which cause friction and power loss. Beyond the engine, each Rancher model receives significant changes, so we’ll start with the base-model Rancher.
FourTrax Rancher—The base 2WD Rancher comes with a manual five-speed transmission with an auto-clutch. You shift with your foot without the need of a clutch lever. It has double-wishbone suspension up front with 6.7 inches of wheel travel. The rear suspension uses a swingarm design with 6.7 inches of wheel travel. It has 24-inch tires and dual hydraulic disc brakes up front and a sealed mechanical drum brake at the rear. The wheelbase is 50 inches with 7.2 inches of ground clearance. The Rancher can handle a combined rack cargo capacity of up to 199 pounds. Available in Red or Olive. MSRP: $5,599.
FourTrax Rancher ES—This is also a 2WD only model, but it comes with Honda’s handlebar-mounted Electric Shift program. Available in Red or Olive. MSRP: $5,899.
FourTrax Rancher 4×4—This model is identical to the base-model FourTrax Rancher, but it includes TraxLok selectable 2WD/4WD operation with a torque-sensitive front differential. It has a foot shifter five-speed manual transmission with an auto-clutch. Available in Red or Olive or Honda Phantom Camo. MSRP: $6,599.

This model comes with a low/drive subtransmission for true engine-braking and TraxLok direct front and rear drive shaft operation with a torque-sensitive front differential. It also includes electric power steering. Available in Red, Reactor Blue, or Honda Phantom Camo. MSRP: $7,799.
FourTrax Rancher 4×4 Automatic DCT IRS—This Rancher is equipped with independent suspension up front and out back. Double-wishbone front suspension offers 7.3 inches of travel up front, and dual-arm suspension provides 8.5 inches at the rear. IRS models also come with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. With 24-inch tires it has 9.2 inches of ground clearance. Available in Red or Olive. MSRP: $7,599.
