Over on the Harley-Davidson stand at Motorcycle Live 2021, we got a look at a stunning Sportster S that Sykes H-D has painted in a classic retro orange paint scheme.
The story of the Sportster family stretches back to the mid-1950s with the first XL-badged machines. Paying homage to a storied history, whilst taking the design elements of the new 2021 Sportster S, we got a closer look at the Sykes custom at Motorcycle Live 2021.
Taking inspiration from the flat track factory racing team which underlines the heritage of the Sportster family, this particular model adds extra flourish with the gold honeycomb details, a custom-tailored stitched seat and dual-tone wheels.
Continuing the flat track theme on the Sportster S is the high mount exhaust with ceramic coated exhaust shields, plus Sykes H-D has added the classic #1 Harley emblem for that touch of flair.
At the heart of this machine is the Revolution Max 1250T motor, a liquid-cooled V-twin with DOHC and variable valve timing housed in fully blacked-out engine cases.

I think we can all agree this is quite the looker. So much so, in fact, that it’s almost a shame the Bar & Shield manufacturer don’t offer this as a special edition colourway of the Sportster S! Unless that’s what they are planning for a 2022 limited edition run…
