Can-Am for a Cause is all about giving back to communities across Texas. The latest donation was a well-equipped 2021 Can-Am Defender Pro Limited, built to tackle the toughest jobs in the gnarliest terrain. It’s headed to a nonprofit Texan civilian volunteer group called Gear Up for Game Wardens. The group works closely with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation to help increase the capabilities of Texas Game Wardens.
The Gear Up for Game Wardens mission statement is to provide Texas Game Wardens with specialty equipment to maintain safety and ensure the highest level of service for the people of Texas.
“The state provides the basic necessities for wardens to do their jobs, but there is still a critical need for additional equipment.”
Can-Am realized Texas Game Wardens have a big job.
“Texas is big. Really big. And its remote terrain varies from sprawling, wide open flatlands to some of the most grueling and unforgiving landscape in the country. That’s what makes it challenging for Texas Game Wardens to cover the more than 10 million miles they travel each year, watching over the lands, waters, wildlife, and people of Texas.”
The Defender Pro Limited was donated in collaboration with East Texas Powersports. The dealership is part of the Can-Am for a Cause initiative.
The Texas Game Wardens will utilize the Defender Pro Limited to its full potential. There’s no doubt the large 6-foot bed, heavy-duty suspension, strong V-twin engine, and tough off-road-oriented driveline should meet the needs of Texas Game Wardens for many years to come. With 1,360 pounds of payload capacity, 1,000 pounds of cargo box capacity, and 2,500 pounds of towing capacity, the 2021 Can-Am Defender Pro Limited is the right tool for the job.
