… | All the big motorcycle unveilings at this year’s show

Motorcycle Christmas is here! The EICMA show in Milan is finally back after a COVID-enforced hiatus… and it promises to be worth the wait.

It’s been two long years since Visordown last headed to Milan to pore over a raft of shiny, fresh-out-of-the-box models and despite a small handful of manufacturers opting to stay away in favour of sticking to an online platform, most manufacturers are present with some big launches in the pipeline.

We will be covering each new launch at length on Visordown but we’ll also be grouping them all here for a quick rundown of the world premieres as they happen.

Day 1 – 23 November [Tuesday]

Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade 2022MY – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition

Two years after the seventh generation of the Honda Fireblade – the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP – Fireblade stole the headlines in Milan, the Japanese giants have launched a special edition model to celebrate the original CBR900RR sportsbike.

Decked out in a recreation of the white, blue and red livery penned by the original designer Mr Hiroaki Tsukui that adorned the motorcycle that gave birth to a legend, a blue seat and a Ring of Fire’ screen animation on the dashboard display, while the fuel tank cover, Smart key fob and Akrapovic muffler features a special 30th Anniversary logo and badging.

The limited edition comes via tweaks to the 2022MY range to improve mid-corner stability and tweak the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) following feedback from HRC riders.
